Buy It!! Perfect spooky book for October. I read half of it on the day I received it. Buy It!It was a wild ride and I can't wait for the next one! Wow. Just Wow. I couldn't look away.I loved and hated these characters, sometimes in equal measure. The writing is perfection. The world building is magnificent. This book was very dark, but there was still enough humor to break up the gloom and doom that I wasn't overwhelmed by it. It was a wild ride and I can't wait for the next one!If you're squeamish or have a generally delicate nature, then this is not the book for you.Audio: Excellent Narration! Loved both of them. Preferred at normal speed.Leigh Bardugo knocks it out of the park again! I've been a Bardugo fan since reading Shadow and Bone several years ago. I was so excited when she announced she would finally be writing an adult book and I was *not* disappointed. It's gritty and dark in all the right places and deals with big issues like drug addiction, mental health, and corruption very well. The characters are well and fully developed and the story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Definitely recommend!
