My new obsession... If you love the Fallen Crest series by Tijan and you enjoyed The Royals series by Erin Watt you will want to read this book ASAP!!! I also must admit that I loved Boys of Brayshaw High way more than I did The Royals. And it might even be a better balanced high drama YA novel than Fallen Crest – I actually shocked myself with this statement.Raven/Rae is one of the best heroines in contemporary romance.She doesn’t care about anything, she keeps her head high and makes sure she survives whatever is thrown at her. But if she’s attacked, girl that woman can dish out! This attitude is KILLER! The novel kept me flipping pages like an insane person. Intrigued from the very first chapter, it wasn’t surprising at all that I couldn’t put it down. My heartbeat sped up the more I read. I couldn’t stop thinking about Rae and the boys. Because they were the heart and soul of this story. One girl and three guys – and I LOVED it!!! Now, I’m not talking menage (in the strictest sense – lol), but a tight group of four, where the adoration goes four-ways.The heat between Rae and Maddoc was sizzling!! Big Man Maddoc is the one that makes her heart sing – and mine too if I’m honest. He is the brooding, quiet type. Nevertheless he pulls the strings and has the last word, especially when it concerns Rae. Of course Rae always has something to say as well – so bickering and sexual tension galore.The author wrote some incredibly unique scenes, and made this YA high-school trope far more interesting than expected. Even though the high school trope is one of my favorites, it can get old over time. So color me impressed - but this novel was UNPUTDOWNABLE.Electrifying Fun First of all I want to say I loved this book, like shout it from the rooftops. This is a story of hardship, loyalty, rivalry, friendship, understanding, family, trust and love. Raven is tough, thick skinned and cool despite her home life. Maddoc, Royce and Captain rule the school that Raven recently enrolled in. What happens when these three sexy alphas set their sights on Raven? Will she follow their rules or are rules made to be broken? Boys of Brayshaw High was sexy, intriguing, exciting, mysterious, and enthralling. Meagan Brandy gave us a mind-blowing story that will keep you wanting more. I can't wait to see what happens next. This is a must read for sure.I'm addicted to this series already. I was engaged, engrossed, enchanted and utterly entertained by this story. I can see the gloves coming off with the guys in this story, everyone is going to be claiming them. Maddoc, Captain and Royce are a force, each with their own personalities yet these three together are one and it's intimidating, powerful and commendable. Not one really overshadows the other, yet they all stand out if that makes sense.And then there's Rae, a baddass that has this vulnerability that makes you want to befriend her. Makes you want to cheer for her and makes you want to ensure that she knows what love is.This book is about bonds, trust and loyalty. It's a slow burn with that teenage angst that I live for.
